Tishman Speyer Anounces Jackson Park at 28-10 Jackson Avenue, Long Island City

Earlier this week, developer Tishman Speyer revealed new details for their much-anticipated building complex Jackson Park, currently under construction at 28-10 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City. Progress on the towers is seen in photos posted to the YIMBY Forums earlier this month.

The project, which comprises of a triad of luxury high-rise rentals, the tallest of which ascends 590 feet, will contain 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities. That includes a 1.6-acre private outdoor recreational area. The park will be located midway between Jackson Avenue and Queens Park South, and will provide residents with a little bit of calm and serenity while living in one of New York’s most rapidly developing neighborhoods.

From the outset, onlookers can see the most notable feature of Jackson Park, which is its immense scale, having three towers that top out at 42, 44 and 53 stories in height. The complex’s 1,800 rental units are expected to be available for leasing this Fall, with move-ins arriving by the end of the year. Amenities include a fitness center, swimming pool, parking on-site, laundry room, and a rooftop patio that provides a stunning glimpse of the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines.

Designed by Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects and Hill West Architects, Jackson Park is slated to rise to prominence as Queens Plaza’s latest high-rise for New Yorkers who want to live comfortably in the big Apple without the Manhattan price tag. The new towers are all within a convenient proximity to the E, M, R, 7, N, and W trains, providing residents a 10-minute commute to Midtown. H&R Real Estate Investment Trust is also a partner.

Tishman Speyer has made their mark in the neighborhood with not only it’s largest residentialproject to date, but also with a significant creative offices and retail building. The commercial project, called JacX, is also now rising across Jackson Avenue from the Jackson West residential complex. That 1.2-million-square-foot development will consist of a pair of towers 26 stories in height, with completing anticipated sometime in 2019.
